About Cavendishrow
Cavendishrow is a six-desk review journal: clothing, skincare, homes and gardens, travel, money, and food. We keep things long enough to know how they fail, then write that down.
How we work
Test in ordinary weather, on an ordinary budget, for longer than a launch window. Publish the measurement even when it is dull.
Every product on the site was bought at retail. We do not accept samples, and we do not take payment for placement or for a score. When we get something wrong we correct the page and say what changed.
What we are for
A short shelf of things that still work in year three, and a reader who can tell why.
The method is the same on all six desks: use the thing in ordinary conditions for long enough to see it fail, write down the measurement, and publish the number even when the number is boring.
The desks
Marion Field
Editor. Fifteen years of wardrobe notes and one very tired spreadsheet.
Dr Yusuf Rahal
Formulation chemist. Reads the INCI list first, the claim second.
Beatrix Lowe
Grows things on a north sill in a flat she does not own.
Callum Oyelaran
Travels by rail when rail exists, and logs every transfer.
Nadia Brandt
Former claims adjuster. Now reads policy wording for a living.
Tomas Weir
Bakes at home on a domestic oven that runs forty degrees hot.
