What we found

Used for every weight in the sourdough and oven pieces. The no-sleep behaviour is the feature worth paying for — most kitchen scales cut out after 60 seconds and ruin a measured extraction.

Cheaper scales reading to 1 g are fine for baking bread. This one earns its price if you also brew coffee by weight.

Good

  • 0.1 g resolution matters for salt and for coffee, not for flour
  • Will not switch off on you halfway through a pour-over
  • Tare is responsive and does not drift between additions

Less good

  • Glass platform is slippery under a warm pot
  • Flat display is hard to read from above with a jug on it
